【Product Description】This is a simulation game that recreates the naval battles of the First Sino-Japanese War and the Russo-Japanese War, with each individual warship represented.
On the game board, the vessels that fought in these conflicts maneuver aggressively in search of the enemy, just as they did in actual history. Players step into the shoes of the commanders of that era, facing the very same critical decisions—and in doing so, they come to understand the immense pressure those commanders bore.
The game features approximately 108 vessels from the Japanese, Qing, and Russian navies, ranging from famous warships to secondary gunboats and transport ships. Each ship is assigned specific numerical values for firepower, firing range, torpedo capability, armor, maximum speed, and durability. These calculations account for more than just displacement; they factor in variables such as the evolution of armor materials—from composite armor to Krupp cemented steel—and whether or not a ship was equipped with quick-firing guns. The composition of each squadron and the designation of its flagship are also historically accurate for every scenario.
The game includes five scenarios: the Battle of Pungdo and the Battle of the Yalu River from the First Sino-Japanese War, and the Battle of the Yellow Sea, the Battle of Ulsan, and the Battle of Tsushima from the Russo-Japanese War.
