We hope you enjoy these titles created by up-and-coming designers.
"Operation Mars" depicts the Soviet offensive launched in November 1942—concurrent with the Battle of Stalingrad—aimed at destroying the German 9th Army within the Rzhev Salient. Although it was a massive offensive involving approximately 700,000 troops, it remains a little-known operation that has long been overshadowed by other historical events.
"The Seoul Night" focuses on the military coup d'état of December 12, 1979 (known in South Korea today as the "December 12 Military Insurrection"). This event saw a new military faction—led by Defense Security Commander Chun Doo-hwan—seize actual control of the armed forces by bypassing the legitimate chain of command.
This issue also features play guides for "Operation Mars" and "The Seoul Night" designer's notes for "Battle of Solomon," a game guide for "Restoration of the Monarchy" (from *Rekibodo* Issue 3), a retrospective on *Command* magazine's 30-year history, a look at humor in wargames, a scenario for the new edition of "F-16," and various other regular columns.
