【Product Description】 Oda Nobunaga relentlessly implemented his own brand of administrative reforms, aiming to put an end to the Sengoku (Warring States) era. Meanwhile, Shogun Ashikaga Yoshiaki—dreaming of restoring the Ashikaga Shogunate's power—plotted to rally anti-Nobunaga forces.
Nobunaga marched out to conquer Asakura Yoshikage in the Hokuriku region but was struck by a surprise attack when Azai Nagamasa betrayed him from the rear; thanks to the heroic efforts of Hashiba Hideyoshi, he barely managed to escape back to Kyoto.
The year was 1570 (Genki 1), and the "encirclement net" against Nobunaga, formed by various daimyo, finally began to close in. *Shinpon Nobunaga Koki* is a simulation game that recreates the nationwide conflict between Oda Nobunaga and the forces opposing him.
By swapping the game units, you can also play through scenarios such as Toyotomi Hideyoshi's unification of the country or Tokugawa Ieyasu's Battle of Sekigahara. The fate of the realm rests on your command decisions.
・Recreating the crises faced by Oda Nobunaga using the *Taiheiki* game system.
*Shinpon Nobunaga Koki* was originally published as *Nobunaga Koki* in Issue 3 of *Double Charge* magazine in 2004. After undergoing various updates and improvements, it was re-released as a supplement to *Command Magazine* Issue 69 in 2006. This "Basic Version" is based on the rules and components of that *Command Magazine* edition.
・A streamlined game covering the succession struggle following Nobunaga's death, titled *Shinsetsu Taikoki*, is also included. It is designed for quick play (featuring two scenarios).
・By swapping the game pieces, you can also play a quick version of the Sekigahara campaign titled *Shinshi Tokugawa Jikki* (featuring three scenarios).
・You can also play *Shinkei Sengoku E-awase*, a casual game where players compete for points by combining "Warlord Pieces" to form specific hands or sets.・Includes the "Character Profiles" originally published in *Command Magazine* Issue 69.
This section features profiles written by Mr. Makoto Nakajima, the game designer of *Shinpon Nobunaga Koki*. It introduces the game's 60 warlords in an accessible, humorous style suitable even for beginners.
Additionally, the "Command Basic" edition has been made more user-friendly through adjusted text sizes and the inclusion of numerous illustrations.
