[Description]
This is the Japanese edition of "Iwo Jima: Hell on Earth," originally released in 2025 by the emerging Spanish wargame publisher Neva Wargames.
In this solitaire game, the player commands the U.S. Marine Corps against the Japanese forces managed by the game system. Your objective is to capture the island of Iwo Jima as swiftly as possible. Securing the island to deploy escort fighters was crucial for supporting the B-29 bombers on their missions over the Japanese mainland.
While the U.S. forces hold numerical superiority, the Japanese defenders offer tenacious resistance, just as they did in history. Without the proper coordination of support units—such as tanks, artillery, and flamethrowers—the player may suffer unexpectedly heavy casualties. Furthermore, the Japanese forces do not merely wait to be attacked; they will strike back at the Americans through reactive counterattacks and nighttime banzai charges.
Can you raise the Stars and Stripes atop Mount Suribachi faster than it was achieved historically?
