The appendix games are "Two Decisive battles on Bakumatsu and Meiji Restoration: Battle of Toba-Fushimi & Battle of Tabaruzaka," which can be played using the same system.
In the "Toba-Fushimi" scenario, unique units such as the Satsuma and Choshu clan soldiers, the Shinsengumi, the Shogunate Training Corps, the Mimawarigumi, and the Bessengumi play an active role.
In the "Tabaruzaka" scenario, "Commander" rules have been added, and in addition to commanders who later played an active role in the Russo-Japanese War such as Iwao Oyama, Maresuke Nogi, and Michitsura Nozu, new and old characters who played an active role in the Boshin War such as Toshiaki Kirino, Shinpachi Murata, Kunimoto Shinohara, and even, depending on the game's development, Saigo Takamori will face off.
Mountain Guns, the charging Shinsengumi, Snider rifles firing wildly, police officers drawing their swords. Can you lead the Satsuma and Choshu forces in the Battle of Toba-Fushimi and bring about the Meiji Restoration?
Or can you lead Saigo's forces in the Battle of Tabaruzaka and put a stop to the new government's monopoly?
