【Product Description】 The included game, "Soviet Union's Finest Hour" is an original strategic-level competitive wargame.
While the conflict on the Eastern Front between Germany and the Soviet Union—which began with the German invasion—concluded on April 16, 1945, this game is designed to cover the entire scope of the Eastern Front campaign using simple rules.
The core mechanic revolves around "Support Chits." Players manage these chits—which encompass everything from generals, tanks, and air support to specific operations like assaults and *Blitzkrieg*, as well as theater-wide events—to steer the battle in their favor.
Strategic use of these chits allows players to negate the effects of their opponent's "Support Chits," creating a dynamic experience rich in tactical maneuvering and "cat-and-mouse" gameplay.
The magazine features an introduction to this Eurogame-style Eastern Front title, a play guide for "Soviet Union's Finest Hour," designer's notes, an overview of past *Command* magazine Eastern Front games, an additional scenario for "Decisive Battle: Combined Fleet (Revised Edition)," and various regular columns.
