[Description]
"Bastogne Siege Solitaire" is the Japanese edition of "Bastogne," originally published in Issue #56 of World at War magazine by Decision Games in 2017.
This game recreates the fighting around Bastogne from December 19th to 26th, 1944, during the German Ardennes Offensive (Battle of the Bulge).
The player commands the American forces, while the German forces are controlled by the game's solitaire system. Although primarily designed as a solitaire experience, it can be played with multiple people by assigning one player as the overall commander and others to specific sectors.
The player's goal is to hold Bastogne until General Patton's Third Army arrives. Historically, General McAuliffe of the 101st Airborne Division famously replied "NUTS!" to the German surrender demand—can you fight even better than the historical defense?
The Japanese edition includes exclusive optional rules that add more detail to combined arms operations and command and control challenges.
Note: There are no changes from the version included as the game with BANZAI Magazine Issue #23.
